Pruente’s work with HIM students and young professionals recognized with AHIMA’s Community Support: Mentor Award.

Niagara Falls, N.Y. – October 5, 2023 – Harris Data Integrity Solutions, the leading provider of best-in-class patient data integrity services and software, announced today that its Director of Professional Services, Megan Pruente, MPH, RHIA, was honored by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) with its Community Service: Mentor Award. Part of AHIMA’s prestigious Triumph Awards, the Mentor Award honors those who have transformed the lives of new and emerging health information professionals and launched them toward new horizons.

The Community Service: Mentor Award honors individuals or groups with long records of encouraging individuals to realize their full potential or have helped them find ways to achieve their best.

Pruente, who has been with Harris Data Integrity Solutions and its predecessor, Just Associates Inc., for more than a decade, is passionate about mentoring HIM students and supporting emerging HIM professionals. This includes overseeing practicum experiences, seeking opportunities to support young professionals in gaining real world experiences, and connecting mentees to various AHIMA and/or component association workgroups, initiatives, and activities to network and give back. She also regularly supports mentees in obtaining AHIMA credentials or continuing education in HIM.
