g cars to devote much time to school, so he did the smart thing . dropped out.  After all, he was earning a nice living already.  And with no living expenses to worry about other than the new used Cadillac he bought from a customer, it didn.t take long for Ted to build up a nice little nest egg.  When that nest egg hit the magic number, Ted quickly closed up shop, packed up his jeans and tee-shirts and hit the road. 

He.d head south first, he decided.  Once he hit Key West, he.d turn around and make his way back north.

No one at home has actually seen or spoken with Ted since the morning he drove off, but he stays in touch, sending post cards and letters that detail his adventures.  And each one warrants a new gathering at the Bait-n-Beer, where every detail is shared and ever.
